6 months old

I am so sorry for being almost 2 weeks late in posting about Laney turning 6 months old.  It has been very busy around here!  Fall is always a busy time for us due to Football, but now I'm traveling a lot for work and it has just meant less time for things like blogging.  Anyway, on to the post...

Laney had her 6 month checkup and got wonderful praises from the doctor.  Here are her stats:
Weight: 15 lbs 8 oz (just under 50th percentile)
Length: 27 inches (90th percentile)
Head  : 16.34 inches (25th percentile)-or 41.5 cm

Brady at 6 months old
Weight: 19 lbs  2 oz (75th percentile) 
Length: 26.8 inches (75th percentile)
Head  : 17 inches (50th percentile)


So, lets analyze this shall we?  Laney is taller than Brady was, but weighs almost 4 pounds less.  Can you say tall and skinny?!?!?  She is just so pretty and sweet and perfect in so many ways.  We love her so much and Brady does to.


Milestones:

• Can sit unsupported for a short period
• Tries to sit up from a laying down position on her own
• Learned how to blow raspberries
• Lots of babbling and drooling
• No teeth yet, but we are thinking they are coming any day now

Likes:

• Squash and Sweet Potatoes
• Watching Brady be silly
• Being held
• Being swaddled (yes, she is still being swaddled)
• Chewing on her teether
• Jumping in her jumperoo

Dislikes:

• Bananas and Apples (this really surprised me)
• When brother gives her "love taps"
• Not being able to take her nap on time
• When she is on her tummy and accidentally rolls over to her back (if she does it on purpose, she is fine, but sometimes it happens and she didn't mean to and that really makes her mad)
