January 15, 10 months old - Starts pulling up
I was hanging out with Laney on her 10 month b-day and right before my very eyes, she pulled herself up on the ottoman and started trying cruise around it. The next day, she decided to pull herself up on the bottom step and while this should have been a huge red flag to go get the baby gates, it wasn't and we just thought it was so amazing that she could even pull herself up.
January 21 - SURPRISE!!!
A little architectural background first. The stairs in our house is laid out such that they go half way up, then there is a small little landing pad and then they go the rest of the way up the other way. Does that make sense? Anyway, January 21 was just a normal day. A moment came where Lance was busy with Brady for 2 minutes (more about potty training in another post) and I was busy working.
During this time, Laney was supposed to stay downstairs and play with her toys, but the next thing we know, Laney is grinning ear to ear, as proud as she could be, on the middle part of the steps. She had climbed halfway up the steps all by herself!
Note: We now have baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs along with the rest of the house being completely baby-proofed now.
January 22 - Caught-cha!
The next day, I caught her in action. The video(s) are below...allow me to explain the difference in the two videos. I shot the video with my iPhone in the portrait orientation. Well, as I found out, when you do that, it plays sideways on a computer. I was able to rotate it, but in doing so, it cropped it so tight (meaning it looks very zoomed-in) that you can barely tell that she is crawling up the stairs. So, I went ahead and put both versions on here for you. The sideways one is harder to watch, but you can really see her climbing those steps. The 2nd one is easier to watch, but again, its just really tight.

January 23 - Takin' the crib to the next level
After all the stair stuff, I went in to go get her from her nap and this is what I found:
Needless to say, my baby girl is getting so BIG and it is happening all so fast! All of this transpired within just a couple of days.
