I hope you all had a fun Halloween. We had a great time at the Jones house, contrary to what the above picture may look like.
First, I took the kids to JCPenney to have their pictures taken. Let's just say, it didn't go quite as I had planned. Brady decided that he didn't want his picture taken that day, and he wasn't going to change his mind no matter how much bribing I did. We got some great ones of Laney and even a couple of Brady afterall.
Then, on Friday before Halloween, Brady had a party at daycare. Since I knew getting him in his Mickey Mouse costume would be a battle that I didn't want to fight on Friday, we decided to put together a last minute costume. A Longhorn baseball player. Sorry, this is the best picture I could get b/c he was so busy, but isn't he cute?!?! He had on his little baseball pants and everything.
Then came time for the trick or treating on Sunday night. Brady just DID NOT want to wear his costume this year. And I asked him 100 times what he wanted to be and he always answered either Mickey Mouse or Tigger. I got him a Tigger costume and he was afraid of it, so then I got him Mickey Mouse. He liked it from far away, but the second I tried to put it on him, he absolutely refused. In the end, we were able to bribe him with candy (hence the chocolate face) and did get it on him. But you can see, he wasn't very happy about it.

We knew Brady was done trick or treating when he stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and just sat down. I asked him what was wrong and he said "I sit!" I asked him if he was tired and wanted to ride in the wagon and he answered with a very pitiful "yessss". We headed home and saw all these trick-or-treaters at our house (MaLyn and PaRoy were handing out candy for us).

The above picture doesn't do the scene any justice. Our neighbors caddy-corner to us went all out. They had their garage decorated, strobe lights, disco ball, and a DJ! They played things like Monster Mash and Thriller and drew quite the crowd. When we were done trick-or-treating, we hung out in the front yard handing out candy and Brady danced to the music.

| And last but not least, Daddy and Brady went through all the candy to see the goods they scored! |
